Lures and lure making.

September 26th, 2008

Lures and lure making.
Harbodied lures in the crankbait series have always been my favourites ,especially getting down mid to deep waters.
Here’s a couple of Luhr Jensen divers for example that are formed in a mould ..
Check out Fred Abbogahst for an Australian luremaking icon.In the 70s the guy made poppers out of old thongs and set the benchmark for innovative designs.
Will post pics and links to lure making suppliers down the track!

The art of "Zero Ballast" is the secret.
Check out jansnetcraft.com/ and www.lurecraft.com/ for supplies.www.humbrol.com for airfix paints an Australian company and www.luremaking.com/ for reference. The "E/book" series and magazine subscription on luremaking is excellent reading. You can purchase everything you need right down to the packaging and presentation.
Below are a mixture of some we have trialled. The Jackal Tn60 and 50 series near the scissors are an excellent bibless range for bream and bass.

Youv’e got to respect the name Halco!
